The relationship we have with our madres is one of, if not THE most important, relationship we have in our lives. Yes, even if it isn’t a good one or don’t have an active relationship with them at all.
Whether they’re in our lives or not, the relationship we have with our mamás shapes us.
How we relate to others, how we receive love and support, how we nurture ourselves, and how much we feel like we belong, are all greatly affected by our relationship to our mamis.
So if we’re experiencing issues with connection in our closest relationships, the first area we should seek to heal is our Madre Wound.
Our Healing the Madre Wound Introductory Workshop supports daughters of Latinx/Chicanx ancestry who are now mothers to identify the nature of their Madre Wound, and begin to heal it so that they can establish more deeply nourishing relationships with themselves, and their children.
Now that you’re a mamá to your own child(ren), you may find yourself feeling triggered by their behavior and unable to meet their needs in similar ways that our mothers didn’t or couldn’t meet ours.
So we’re left with an important choice…
We can push forward not healing or addressing our trauma, feeling exhausted, and on the verge of blowing up at our kids at any moment, OR we can choose to do the deep and loving work of remothering ourselves in order to establish deeply nourishing and beautifully connected relationships with ourselves and our niñes.
Of course, you’re here because you really want the latter. Our Healing the Madre Wound Introductory Workshop is here to give you the foundation for this healing process.
Here’s what you’ll learn in this one-of-a-kind workshop:
If you’re a Latinx/Chicanx woman who has wounding in your relationship with your mother and this event is speaking to you, then this is for you. This workshop will introduce you to the concept of the madre wound and support you to set the foundation for healing it.
